A Notary Public is a public officer whose warrant is granted by the Chief Justice of Northern Ireland. There are only 37 Notaries Public serving Northern Ireland and at Babingtons, we can provide the following services in either of our offices:
- Administering oaths and affirmations,
- Taking affidavits and statutory declarations,
- Witnessing and authenticating the execution of certain classes of documents,
- Taking acknowledgments of deeds and other Conveyances,
- Protesting notes and bills of exchange,
- Arranging the legalisation of documentation by way of apostille with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office,
- Providing notice of foreign drafts,
- Providing exemplifications and notarial copies,
- Providing exemplifications and notarial copies,
- Drawing up Powers of Attorney and other legal documents customarily prepared by Notaries Public, and Performing certain other official acts depending on the requirements of the specific jurisdiction.
